The seven stages of grief:

Yeah, yeah, yeah, but they are just words, not experiences until grief happens to you, and even when it’s happening to you, maybe a part of your mind tells you what stage of grief you are in, but that part of your mind that is telling you the name of what is creating those sounds coming out of your body you have never heard before and distorting your face whose expression you see in the mirror (if you really want to see your face) reflects who you are right now, and who you are right now no words can describe or define. The only definition is you. What you do with what remains of you after catastrophe is what defines you.
